Triangulation in Green
Located on the arrivals level of PTI’s parking deck, Triangulation in Green by artist Matt Amante offers a moment of stillness within the flow of airport travel. Composed of interlocking triangular forms in vivid green steel, the sculpture plays with balance, perspective, and space, drawing the eye without demanding it.
Amante has spent over 16 years creating public art for cities, campuses, and community spaces nationwide. For him, airports offer something different. “Travelers are often looking for something to focus on,” he says. “Art in these spaces can be both grounding and unexpected.”
Triangulation in Green reflects Amante’s interest in clean, geometric design and how sculpture interacts with its environment. As sunlight shifts across the day, so does the sculpture’s presence, casting changing shadows and offering new angles from each approach. The piece invites a quiet engagement, whether from a hurried traveler catching it out of the corner of their eye or someone who pauses to take in its structure more intentionally.

Having participated in previous exhibitions at PTI, Amante appreciates the opportunity to share work in a setting that welcomes a broad and ever-changing audience. “Airports are unique venues,” he notes. “There’s an energy to them, and I enjoy contributing to that atmosphere through sculpture.”
Triangulation in Green is a thoughtful addition to the space—simple in form yet layered in its effect. We invite you to take a moment as you arrive or depart and consider the way shape, color, and place come together in this quietly compelling work.
