New Traffic Pattern Entering/Exiting PTI from the West
Piedmont Triad – The NCDOT plans to open the new roads around Piedmont Triad International Airport Sunday night July 2nd, 2017, between 8 p.m. and midnight (pending any major construction delays over the weekend).
The construction work associated with the completion of the I-73 connector has been completed and changes the way vehicles enter and exit the airport from the west.
Visitors coming to PTI from the east will enter and exit as they always have off Bryan Blvd. Visitors from the west (Highway 68) should pass the “Old Bryan Blvd” exit and take the next exit, marked for I-73 South and PTI airport. When leaving the airport, vehicles will follow I-73 North and follow signs for either South or North 68.
We advise that passengers allow extra time to get to the airport until they are familiar with the new roads and exits around Highway 68 and I-73 .
