Fight Hunger, Have Lunch on Us

  • The Piedmont Triad Airport Authority, in conjunction with SSP America, the provider of food and beverage service at PTI, will sponsor a pre-holiday food drive on Thursday, November 21st from 11am to 4pm.  It will be held at the airport in the main terminal near the Food Court.

  • Visitors and employees of the airport who bring nonperishable food items to be donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank will receive a complimentary hot dog, chips and soft drink lunch from the Food Pavilion in the main terminal, next to Natty Greene’s. Cash donations will also be accepted so that travelers can take part in this one-day event.

  • One in six Northwest North Carolinians faces hunger. The situation is even worse for children, with more than one in four children lacking access to sufficient food to meet their nutritional needs.

  • Second Harvest Food Bank of NWNC provides immediate access to food to our neighbors in need across 18 counties in central North Carolina, as the food bank pursues an end to hunger through outreach, education and advocacy. So help out by bringing nonperishable food items, and have lunch on us.
