April 14, 2012 – Starting today, travelers using Piedmont Triad International Airport (PTI) will have access to free wireless internet service throughout the airport. This is the latest amenity to be offered at PTI as part of an approximately $9 million facility improvement program to make traveling from PTI easier and more efficient.
“Travelers today, particularly business travelers, need easy to use, fast access to the internet, not only from their mobile devices, but also from their laptops and notebooks,” says Henry Isaacson, chairman of the Piedmont Triad Airport Authority Board of Directors. “We recognize that travelers have a choice of airports, so our goal is to make flying from PTI easy, traveler friendly and less stressful than flying from other airports. Free wireless is just one more reason to fly from PTI.”
The airport is in the process of renovating the terminal building and concourse gate areas with more comfortable seating, portable device charging stations and television monitors.
