Cara is a full-time, self-taught artist who specializes in whimsically realistic gourd sculptures, paintings, and illustrations. Every sculpture begins as a simple gourd, which she transforms with wire, paper clay, epoxy clay, wood, glass, and other mixed media, then hand-paints each piece with acrylics. Her passion lies in creating expressive characters packed with personality, intricate details, and storytelling.
