The inaugural flight departed from Gate 26 at 3 p.m., marked by a festive atmosphere. Passengers and the flight crew enjoyed delicious treats while celebrating the occasion. A water cannon salute provided a farewell as the United Airlines plane took off. This new service significantly improves travel options for passengers leaving PTI, as it connects with three of the four major banks at Washington Dulles. This means greater access to global destinations, making travel from North Carolina more convenient.
