PTI now has more options for passengers. Clear Channel Communications, the airports advertising vendor, has provided the Airport Ambassadors with iPads that will be used to further enhance the passenger’s flying experience.
The iPads are equipped with FLYsmart. Flysmart is an application that provides air travelers with a complete terminal directory – maps and all — to locate aircraft gates, ATMs, newsstands, restaurants, gift shops, clubs, restrooms and other amenities inside airports across the nation. iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and Android users can also access live feeds of flight arrivals and departures. Outside the airport terminal, the application provides a Geodelic location discovery guide, which finds things to do in a user’s destination city, and directly links to Wikipedia entries for added information on local attractions.
FLYsmart’s existing roster includes some of North America’s largest airports.
