January Construction Progress: PTI Facility and Infrastructure Updates

Boom Facility Construction: The contractors are working on some erosion control settlement basin conversion. Otherwise, the building is complete.

Bentley Road Project: The DOT has finished paving Bentley Road Extension. The Authority is working with the DOT to determine when it will open to traffic. Piedmont Natural Gas installing the gas line to the Marshall site. Duke Energy has completed the electrical service installation along the roadway.

Marshall Facility Construction: The first three bays are expected to be completed in around a month. The second set of bays is scheduled for completion in around two months, and the paint bay is expected to be finished in about two months after that.

Crossfield Taxiway – Phase 3 Project: The contractor has finished paving inside the Runway 5L/23R safety area and is paving toward the taxiway bridge. The contractor is working towards completing the paving and electrical in the next couple months.

Line-of-Sight Clearing Project: The contractor is still moving material from the former Hertz location, hauling it under Taxiway E, and placing it on the opposite side of the taxiway, adjacent to the rental car storage lots. The embankment for this area and Worldwide Drive is expected to be completed in the next few months.

Taxiway D Reconstruction – Phase 1: The contractor has completed the mainline portion of Taxiway D for the winter. Work will begin soon on the new Taxiway D2 connector, which is outside the mainline of the Taxiway D Safety Area.
