On Saturday, September 21, the Samaritan’s Purse Hangar buzzed with excitement as young girls, ages 8-18, gathered for the third annual Triad Girls in Aviation Day. The event, organized by Maureena Shepherd and Associates and proudly supported by PTI, aimed to introduce girls to various career opportunities within the aviation industry, from piloting and engineering to air traffic control.
This year’s event was the largest yet, with hands-on activities like flight simulations, interactive workshops, and inspiring talks from accomplished women in aviation. Attendees had the opportunity to explore aviation careers, learn from industry professionals, and see firsthand that the possibilities are endless.
PTI is proud to support initiatives like Girls in Aviation Day, which ignite passion and empower young girls to explore careers in this exciting field. We look forward to seeing everyone again at next year’s event.
