It’s that time of year again – PTI is looking for local artists to fill our terminal with some great local art pieces! Our call for artists is open to all artists in the State of North Carolina and southern Virginia Counties that border the Piedmont Triad.
Keep scrolling to learn more about and see examples of art pieces that our art committee has selected in the past, and also learn about the locations in the terminal where art may be placed.
2D Pieces:
We are looking for 2D paintings and photographs to be placed on wall space on the arrival level (lower level) of the terminal.
Small 3D Pieces:
Small 3D sculptures will be displayed in various places on the departure level (upper level) of the terminal in four separate plexiglass pedestals.
Large 3D Pieces:
Large 3D sculptures will be placed outdoors in 6 planters that run along the arrival level (lower level) windows.
Special Projects:
Special projects in the airport do not have any set display location. They may be placed in pre- and post-security areas and may include projects such as hanging work in the atrium skylights, painted murals, redesign of the fountain area in winter months, and use of unused gates and storefronts.
