[The Job Fair] continues to be one of the best ways for people to connect directly with employers who keep PTI running.
On Tuesday, October 21st, PTI will once again transform part of its passenger terminal into a marketplace for opportunity as it hosts the fourth annual PTI Campus-wide Job Fair from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. The annual event quickly has become a fixture for job seekers and employers alike, connecting hundreds of candidates with companies that operate on the PTI campus. In 2024, more than 300 applicants registered for the fair, and airport officials expect similar or greater participation this year.
“This event has grown every year, and it continues to be one of the best ways for people to connect directly with employers who keep PTI running,” said Corky Clodfelter, Director of Human Resources for the Piedmont Triad Airport Authority. “The airport community is large and diverse. From airlines and aviation services to food and hospitality providers, public safety, and logistics companies, there are career paths here for many different skillsets and interests.”

The job fair is limited to companies located on the PTI campus, giving participants a direct window into the businesses in aviation and aerospace or those that help keep the airport operating smoothly. Previous employer participants have included FedEx, HondaJet, HAECO, TSA, HMSHost, Paradies Lagardère, GAT Airline Ground Support, Signature/ TechnicAir, Samaritan’s Purse, PrimeFlight Aviation Services, and the Piedmont Triad Airport Authority itself.
Opportunities range from customer-facing positions, such as food service, retail, and ground handling, to specialized technical roles in aircraft maintenance and logistics. PTI’s police, fire, and facilities teams are also hiring, with immediate needs for shuttle bus driver/cashiers, facilities technicians, and public safety officers.
Attending the fair is free, as it is for those campus employers seeking employees. Visitors can park at no charge and take a shuttle directly to the terminal. Inside the terminal, the event is held on the departures level Door 3 near American Airlines, where job seekers can check in at the registration table. While registration is not required, those who sign in – either ahead of time or on-site – will be entered into a drawing for gift cards.
Organizers encourage participants to bring copies of a resume and to dress appropriately for the jobs they are targeting. Some employers may conduct interviews on site, making preparation essential.
The fair’s hours – from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. – are designed to be convenient for people on a variety of work shifts, allowing those coming off day jobs, night shifts, or in-between schedules to attend. Even if you’ll arrive just before 7 p.m., employers will be ready.
Building Community at PTI
For PTI, the annual job fair is about more than filling open positions. It is also a chance to highlight the size and scope of the airport community, which includes thousands of employees across dozens of companies. As PTI continues to grow, recently welcoming new partners like JetZero and the potential for thousands of new jobs, the need for talent is expected to increase.
“The job fair gives us a chance to showcase the opportunities that exist right here in our region,” Clodfelter said. “It’s about connecting people with meaningful work and building the workforce that will support PTI’s future.”
